Contrary to widespread reports that the Nigerian Braodcast Commission (NBC), has placed a ban on music videos of some Nigerian artistes including P Square (Alingo), Wande Coal (Go Low), Timaya (Bum Bum), Flavour(Shake) for being ‘suggestive and provocative’ and D’Prince(Take Banana), Goldie(Ski Bobo), Chuddy K (Brazilian Hair) and Tillaman (Koma Roll) for featuring a minor with suggestive and immoral dance steps as well as containing er*tic and vulgar words, the NBC has denied banning them.
According to Mrs. Dorothy of NBC, “NBC doesn’t ban videos; we can only instruct them to remove it being aired. We didn’t ban any musical video as we speak.”
