I saw a post today in the religion section about a driver preaching while driving and this made me remember some of the experiences I have had about public preaching:

I was going to the office very early in the morning, after moving for a while I heard "praise the lord" my first thought was that someone wanted to pray for our safe journey, but after about 5 "praise the lord" he got the attention of everyone in the bus then he started praise and worship songs, I was like ok....almost everybody in the bus joined in and the bus was like a mobile music box. this lasted for about 15minutes and he started preaching; I don't have a problem with his preaching at all but the final straw that broke the camel's back was when he asked for offering to move his ministry forward and to my humble amazement people started donating the shocking part was that it was out of this so called offering that he paid his fare.

Another form of offering collection inside buses is when someone cracks dry jokes in the bus to get attention then brings out a paper saying they represent a certain orphanage and are collecting money for the upkeep of the kids.

I am not against giving either to God or to the less privileged as it were but am just not convinced that this people aint fraudsters.
