THINKING NONSENSE

I lay awake
all night,
coughing.
I thought thoughts
I didn't think I'd think

Of wages unpaid
Of profanity said
Of playlists swayed
or nodded to
Of "Action!...Freeze!"

Of some pretty nurse, and
Of her latex gloves and jelly
Of her 'pissing joysticks off' - panacea
of aphrodisiac malfunction.
Talk of "professional self-servicer"

Graffiti state of mind. I thought

Of pissed off offspring
of mosquitoes crushed last night, singing
of vengeance in my ears.
Of their armoured proboscis and
of their guts emptied
of parasite and filled with my blood.

Of 'squito graffiti without finesse - my blood
The paint; my sheet
The wall.
