UNILAG To Commence Postgraduate Course On Security, Terrorism by Nobody: 3:40pm On Jan 29, 2013


The University of Lagos said on Tuesday that it would commence a Postgraduate course on Security and Terrorism in its 2013/2014 academic session.
UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rahamon Bello who made the remarks in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Lagos, said this was geared towards addressing the country’s security challenges.

According to him, the university has been much concerned about the security situation in the country and is willing to contribute its best to improve the situation.

``Actually, we have programmes on security which are degree programmes; at the moment, we are working through a process of establishing some courses at the Postgraduate level.

``This initiative is solely aimed at taking over issues of security challenges in the country; having said this, however, I wish to state that the process is not yet finalized but they are in the works,’’ Bello said.

He gave the assurance that by the next academic session; the courses would take off in full.
