I don't knw what to call it's nt actually a bump but i had a cut in my chin that is wide and stitch is repuired, now the lower end of my cut is placed over the upper part(i hope u undastnd),with the nurse telling me it's only the stichmark dt i will av,am okay wit dat(no choice) wot i cnt condone now is dt,it's 2weeks today and av since removd d stitch, now it does nt luk lyk it wil smoothen up,cos it's healing and d nurse keep tellin me dt it wil strat up wit d normal skin level, but i thnk she's only being professional...so pls am considering cutting d skin to allow it rhyme wit normal skin level, cos i can stand with wound scar than having an "artifical bump" pls doctors advice me,will it close up really or shd i cut it to straigt up?pls

Hi mandman,no need to panic and its dangerous to carry out surgery or any sort of cutting because u want to stop keloid.infact u re calling in 4 more problem.first u need to consider the nature of ur skin,if u have a sensitive skin then after healing u will experience growth (keloid) around the stitch.but for those skin that re 'rugged' i mean not prone to keloid,u dnt need to panic becos the stitches cant form keloid.betterstill visit or contact a skin specialist for one on one consultation.take care u can also send me cos im willing to help u out(free consult).
