Didn't really know where to place this thread.
A couple of friends were engaged in a heated debate on whe ther blind people dream.
While some were of the opinion that blind people don't dream at all, others opined that only those who were blind from birth don't dream but those of them who had seen life images and colours have the ability to dream.
I remained indifferent though because I hadn't given much thought.
So NLers, What do U Think?

I think dreaming is a brain controlled event and not the function of the eyes!

@OP, blind people dream but whether they would see anything in their dreams depends on whether they were born blind or not. What we see or who we see in our dreams are simply the same things or people that we see when we were awake. If a person could see at birth but lost their vision later in life, then they will see in their dreams but would only see those places and people they saw when they still had their sight. If a person was born blind then they would experience mostly auditory dreams and the flashes of light or colours or even complete darkness they are able to see through their lids or whatever when awake.
