One-year-old survives seven days alone with dead grandmother

A 20-month girl was found lying in her dead grandmother’s arms in a home in Hunan Province on September 27 and survived for probably seven days after her grandmother passed away, according to Chinese media.
Wang Lichun, 45, was left at home taking care of her granddaughter by herself in Shuangfeng County, after her husband, two sons and daughter-in-law moved to Changsha, a city over 1,000 km away, to work.
Xiao Kaiquan, the girl’s father, said that from September 20, his mother stopped answering the phone.
Tremendously worried, he and other family members rushed home, and upon arriving on September 27 were shocked to see the little girl lying with the decaying corpse in the bathroom doorway.
Xiao said his mother had likely already been dead for seven days. Fortunately, the girl was found alive but severely malnourished.
She was taken to hospital on September 28 and was under intensive care.
Xiao said that his daughter is still shocked from the ordeal and is suffering from some infections but should recover fully.
Workers migrating to other cities in search of work have difficulties accessing services such as housing and education under the hukou registration system.
This means that children can often stay behind to live with their grandparents for periods of time.

I think their innocence saves them...seen a family that had an accident and only the baby survived!!

I have heard the testimony of a mother whose 3yr old boy was run over by a pickup peugeot, the boy was in the middle of the 4 tires looking up the sky while people watching the incidence shouted vigorously and nothing happened to the boy.

The driver came down crying, people thanking God etc....

Yet our people rush to so call functional countries hmm they have everything yet nothing shame we have nothing working for us yet we have all. Friends that cares relatives that don't have to give you but are always there even if it is to beg from you.

Babies are gifts from heaven... What a miraculous story to start this new month!

Uhhh!!!! Poor baby, who knows how much the baby had cried and got tired of it. It must simply have assumed ,he is back in the womb where humans are not around. Whatever kept him,GOD is awesome and the baby is a miracle

you are partially right- it can never happen in d rural areas and in areas of cities where ordinary people live. But d rich people hav chosen to live in houses with prison-like wall fences and so this type of incident can happen their.

it lky u dont no ow majority of these pple live. there re no jobs in many towns and villages so they have to migrate to the city leaving behind their children with their relatives. no matter ow d chiness paint their economy , majority of them still live in proverty.
