GENESIS HOUSE REHAB CENTRE- MATRON
Genesis House is a Christian residential rehabilitation and empowerment centre designed to cater for the needs of socio-economically disadvantaged girls and young women in vulnerable situations. One of its kind in Nigeria, the centre supports for girls and young women who have been victims of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation though a 9-18 month program. The initiative is designed to proffer an effective and lasting solution to the alarming and growing trend of commercial sex work among young females in Nigeria, especially in Lagos state.
Genesis House seeks a retired nurse, educationalist or caregiver to serve as a live-in matron for the centre. The right candidate will be mature, organized, and effective at counselling and administration, and proficient with computers and other communication platforms. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications / Experience:

 Must have a first degree (BSc/HND) in Social Work or Psychiatry Nursing or in Education or similar degree
 Must poses a minimum of 3yrs post NYSC working experience in related functions preferable in an NGO rehabilitation centre
 Must be able to work with minimum supervision, with good computer skills (Micro soft and Excel –spread sheet)
 Must be a role model, exhibit high morale standard, be a team leader /player and possess the ability teach
 Must be able to enforce discipline

Responsibilities:
 Responsible for the overall living welfare of the residence clients, including enforcement and implementation of disciplinary measures in the house
 Execute all schedule/s for all house activities, for girls doing the vocational training program (9 mos) and girls doing formal education program (18 mos)
 Input observations, data and other required information into Freedom Foundation’s systems
 Ensure that clients observe the house daily time – table / schedule
 Assign and supervise the clients daily chores
 Conduct daily group devotion - prayer and Bible study
 Ensure clients maintain proper hygiene practices
 Plan monthly menu time table with the cook
 Work closely with Program Officer and God Bless Nigeria Church evangelism team to monitor / ensure clients’ spiritual growth.
 Prepare and submit daily house report including incidence report to the Program Officer
 Manage clients phone log
 Maintain custody of clients personal items (items clients brought to the Shelter)
 Report to Program Officer Social worker (Case Manager)

 Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Program Management
