why are judges of Lower Courts poorly paid and are expected to apply the same standards as those of superior courts? some were called to the bar before those of the upper bench but time and chance can't happen to all.

Can you tell us how much judges in lower courts are paid and how much judges in higher courts are paid, so we can compare? Can you also tell us whether you're a practicing lawyer, judge, or legal clerk?
