The Atheist Creed! by MrAnony2: 9:29am On Mar 01, 2013 |
We believe in Marx, Freud, and Darwin. We believe that everything is ok, as long as you don’t hurt anyone, to the best of your definition of hurt, and to the best of your definition of knowledge. We believe in sex before, during and after marriage, we believe in the therapy of sin. We believe that adultery is fun, we believe that sodomy is ok, we believe that taboo’s are taboo. We believe that everything is getting better despite evidence to the contrary. The evidence must be investigated and you can prove anything with evidence. We believe there is something in horoscopes, UFO’s and bent spoons. Jesus was a good man just like Buddha, Muhammad and ourselves. We believe he was a good moral teacher although we think his good morals were really bad. We believe that all religions are basically the same, at least the one that we read was. They all believe in love and goodness, they only differ in matters of creation, sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation. We believe that after death comes nothing because when you ask the dead they say nothing. If death is not the end then there is heaven for all except maybe Hitler, Stalin, and Khan. We believe in Masters and Johnson, what is selected is average, and what is average is normal and what is normal is good. We believe in total disarmament, we believe there are direct links between warfare and bloodshed, and that the Americans should beat their guns into tractors and the Russians will be sure to follow. We believe that man is essentially good, it is only his behavior that lets him down. This is the fault of society, society is the fault of conditions, and conditions are the fault of society. If man does what is right for him, then reality will adapt accordingly. The universe will re-adjust, history will alter. We believe there is no absolute truth except that there is no absolute truth. We believe in the rejection of creeds and the flowering of individual thought. If chance is the father of all flesh, then disaster is his rainbow in the sky. When in a state of emergency the sniper kills the child, the youth go looting, or bomb blasts rock the school, it is nothing more than the sound of man worshiping his maker. 1 Like |

^^^I think the above pretty much sums up the atheist worldview. If you are an atheist and you disagree, then please define precisely what your personal worldview is. |

we don't believe in the Christian God and we also believe the bible is false, yet we use the same bible to attack God that doesn't exist |

Mr_Anony2: ^^^I think the above pretty much sums up the atheist worldview. So that was your world view before you became a Christian? Keep taking that 'God' medicine... |

musKeeto: His worldview as an atheist (before he became a christian) is that there is nothing wrong with ra.pe since there is no God Without God, he sees no reason why he shouldnt be a serial rapist ====================================================================================== But wait! Is this the real Anony? This could be an impostor because the real Anony isnt this foolish. Atheist creed? Atheists dont believe in God. Simple. There is no worldview, just personal philosophies and opinions after that. |
Re: The Atheist Creed! by Nobody: 10:28am On Mar 01, 2013 |
Mr_Anony2: We believe in a dead Man that cured us of an illness caused by a fruit. We believe that everything is ok, as long as God says so. We believe in massturbation before marriage and peodophilia while celibate. We believe that adultery is fun as long as the church members don't find out. We believe that everything is getting better because our faith deems it so, who needs evidence? Faith must not be investigated and you can prove anything by faith. We believe there is something in horoscopes (the Magis found our savior through that), UFO’s(demons kicked out by God). Jesus was the only good and moral man unlike Buddha, Muhammad and ourselves. We believe he was a good moral teacher, it doesn't matter that he said "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword". GOD before humanity, to preach anything else is to be condemned. Edited. Fixed. 4 Likes |

Firstly, atheism isn't a worldview just as theism isn't a worldview. I will now go ahead to dismantle what you've stated point by point. Mr_Anony2: We believe in Marx, Freud, and Darwin. What do you mean by this? They were people who lived so we believe they lived. This doesn't mean that atheists have uncritically accepted their works. Mr_Anony2: I don't know how you arrived at this conclusion from people saying they're atheists. The main problem I have with the "creed" you've presented here is what you mean when you say: we believe . . . . Some atheists accept some things, others don't. Mr_Anony2: Actually, things are getting better. We have managed to eliminate a disease like smallpox and we're on the way to eliminating others, we now have the tools to mitigate world hunger and as we know that violence has declined in the world. Mr_Anony2: Sure evidence is important. If you disagree, then simply say so. Actually, it isn't that you can prove anything with evidence, but that you should be ready to provide evidence to back up your claims. Mr_Anony2: Do atheists believe this as a creed in the way Christians believe Jesus is the son of God? Mr_Anony2: I can agree with the first three sentences but not the last because not all religions actually believe in love and goodness. At least not as we conceive them to be. Mr_Anony2: This is just false. We don't arrive at that conclusion because "when you ask the dead they say nothing". Mr_Anony2: These are just absurd. Mr_Anony2: Are you sure you're not confusing atheism with something else? Mr_Anony2: Another absurdity. Mr_Anony2: Yet you've gone on to formulate creeds for atheists who according to you "believe in the rejection of creeds". Mr_Anony2: I'm sorry but this final paragraph makes no sense to me. |

Ah, I see, the old atheism is a religion stuff. Unwritten doctrine or philosophy we all follow, as that's the only possible way it could be. Everything built around petty, slavish clans, yes. Worldwide agendas, etc. I'll be off then |

toba: Just shut up kid. False things like the non existing God is wicked, is that also false? This is how it goes. .Christians claim that god is love and the use the same bible to point to passages that shows their god is love. .Atheist simply open to the same bible and show them passages or stories that also show that their god does not even know what love is. . .Simple. . |

Annony: In the wake all the evil scandals involving paedophile catholic priests, their gay sin parties, their financial malfeasances , their millenia of slash and burn christianity, you should be thoroughly ashamed of your self and your religion for attacking atheists, who are simply people who reject your childish and hypocritical religious fables. What is the theist creed? Was this part of christian creed? http://news.yahoo.com/ireland-apologizes-women-catholic-laundries-202801171.html A Magdalene laundry, also known as a Magdalene asylum, was a house for women who had "fallen" from "moral correctness". The asylums were named for Mary Magdalene, the supposed prostitute who apparently repented her sins and became one of Jesus Christ's closest followers. They were started in the middle of the 19th century as rehabilitation centers for prostitutes. However, the victims of the Magdalene asylums could not expect to be forgiven as Mary Magdalene was. These asylums were a network of laundries operated by the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland and elsewhere, and run by the Sisters of a range of orders. Many women lived and died in these institutions with little hope of escape. The only way they could be freed was by being claimed by a relative. Often, family members were told that the women had moved away, and would be impossible to find because they had assumed new identities. Magdalene asylums were institutions from the 18th to the late-20th centuries ostensibly to house "fallen women", a term used to imply female sexual promiscuity. Asylums for such girls and women and others believed to be of poor moral character, such as prostitutes, operated throughout Europe and North America for much of the nineteenth and well into the twentieth century. London's Magdalen Asylum was active from 1758 to 1966.[1] The first such asylum in Ireland opened on Leeson Street in Dublin in 1765, founded by Lady Arabella Denny. Initially the mission of the asylums was to rehabilitate women back into society, but by the early twentieth century the homes had become increasingly punitive and prison-like. In most asylums, the inmates were required to undertake hard physical labour, including laundry and needle work. They endured a daily regimen that included long periods of prayer and enforced silence.[2] In Ireland, such asylums were known as Magdalene laundries where it is estimated that, since their inception, up to 30,000 women had been incarcerated. The last such institution in Ireland closed in 1996.....Wikipaedia |

toba: use context when u want to describe the character of what u believe is not existing? I dont believe in magic, yet i still criticise the magician for doing a bad magic. Maybe im missing something Depending on the nature of the argument you may have chosen to accept some parameters. I don't believe black fire breathing dragons exist but if someone claimed they didn't exist in the universe of a sword of ice and fire I'd point out he was wrong. Using that universe as context, dragons exist. If he said there was no magic in the harry potter universe I'd do the same, and perhaps even show him the 'abracadabras' in the books if necessary. I could have read those books for a variety of reasons, reading them just because I believed in magic is not the only option. Actually, I would think most people who read those books do not believe dragons and that kind of magic exist, do they? |

Mr_Anony2: ^^^I think the above pretty much sums up the atheist worldview.Lololol, it appears our in-house atheists on the whole don't like having any burden put on them at all. This is why so many of them don't want to admit they have any positive beliefs as well as being atheists. Often when asked what their positive beliefs are they can't even elucidate it properly. It's always easier being on the offensive than defining your stance isn't it? 1 Like |

Save for the Catholics and the regular Christian newsletters, a huge majority of Christian-folks on NL are doing that much to contain and possibly destroy Atheism on the Religious section.. it seems we are the new Islamist threat. see how a paltry sprinkle dare mention anything about Islam in spite of the regular disdain it gets from her fanatics on NL we must be doing something right. I still ache for a time where Christian-speak when discussing (cursing more like) with Atheists are devoid of emotion-laden, self-victimizing vulgar speech the likes mr Anony propagates every chance he gets.. like a goat propagates those black smelly pebbles from its behind. Rise above your personal,hate-filled opinions and behave just like Jesus did, countering criticism with reason not bile and frustration (definitely not the fuckery posted by the OP) |
