After listening to a radio programme about this very topic, I wanted to open a thread on it many weeks ago, but I forgot. Well, mine is the covering blanket I use anytime I visit my grandparents. Its called "aran". It belonged to my Grandma's mum (great grand mum). Its so so old and weak but I still use it. I am sure its way way more than half a century old. Probably 70-80 years old. |

We still have by late Dad's reading lamp and his reading table that he used in his days in Unilag. Also have his turn table. I still wonder why mum has refused to get rid of it since my Dad died about 17yrs ago. The one I love most are my baby cloths. I still have the dress I wore on the day I was christened, my Beautiful white dress. My kids have to Ơ̴̴̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡ it. The truth is the standard of those stuff are far beta than goods that are produced now. |

What a nice topic! In my mom's house, I should think the oldest item would be this huge Singer tailoring machine. Not the type used by all dis tailors that hawk along d road o! D real deal dat comes with a cupboard, spool and feet wheels underneath. U can even turn d machine upside down and lock it up when done. She got dat relic b4 she got married. Can't seem to understand y she hold on 2 it! |

Funny enough "Boda Bucket" is an American.....produced & purchased in America....now living & working in Nigeria!!!![/quote] So people board planes with buckets as luggages#just saying Well our is a soap can my grand mum used. She died in our house so that was what we got. We have trying smashing the red calabash-like soap can but it would break. If there's anything I like to take away from my family house it the miserable soap dish |

My dad made this book shelve back when he was in poly ibadan. That was over 35 years ago. It's still in his room up till now!!! There's also a very old 3 seater outside within the compound. I don't know which one is older but the seat and the book shelve should be about thesame age. |
