I hv a frnd who happens 2 be a member of d church,he is well behaved but when i tell people about his faith they will just scream that they are bad like occults.pls what can u say about them?are they true believers?

I have not been there b4,if ur motive for asking is because u are contemplating becoming a member,I would advice u put it into prayer first.

Many people badmouth Churches they know little or nothing about.

You can have a true church of God but a bad branch pastor or occultic pastor doing something diff from the doctrine God geve the General Overseer to follow.
As we read that among d twelve disciples of the Lord Jesus,there was a minus one,Judas Iscariot.

All in all,pray b4 u attend their service. Whatever God tell you is the final.
