Super Eagles confirms Honduras friendly
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have confirmed yet another friendly game in May, as they prepare to represent Africa, at the FIFA 2013 Confederation Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria will on May 26th, play against another North American opposition, Honduras, in an international friendly game, which would played in Washington, USA.
Rafael Callejas, president of the Honduras Football Federation, revealed that they would play against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and also the Israeli national team,as they prepare for their Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers. “First there was confusion because (Honduras head coach) Luis Fernando Suarez thought he’ll play against Nigeria on June 2 but the game is on May 26 and the June 2 game is against Israel. So it is a clear issue,” Callejas was quoted as saying on Superports.com. Five days after Nigeria plays against Honduras, they will now proceed to the other game against Mexico on May 31, before proceeding to the tournament in Brazil.
It really seems as though the Super Eagles are really maximizing the perks of being African champions.
