jojoluv: she is acting according to her faith,so dnt blame her

But right from the beginning NYSC uniform has trousers and she's aware, she would have chosen not to serve or bear wearing the trouser for the 1st 3wks after which she can discard if her CDS permits. Let's learn to do what is right, christians or not

lamdec: I am currently serving in Ogun State and it was her Dad that insisted that she should leave camp, the camp director told her dad that she would be decamped if she steps out of the camp and the dad agreed. It was even the dad that camp to carry her.
This settles it. She wasn't endangered. My argument here is complete. *unfollows post*

Another reason why NYSC should fail. The woman's faith and conscience was assaulted. She doesn't wear trousers simple! It doesn't matter if all the girls in nigeria, its a conscientious issue.

But nigerians don't respect human rights.

Sweetlemon:
Also remember to ask them wether they wear the hijabs with skirts or trousers

You and I both know this is not about Trouser or Skirt or whatever you choose to call it but mainly about FAITH. If moslem corpers are allowed to follow their faith, then the Christians shouldn't be denied of their right.

I mean, if you want to be para-military, then be para-military; where everyone is Gentlemen, no Ladies. Where everyone is equal. No separation of any form, be it sex or religion. But if you're trying to tell me you're a para-military organization and you allow one religion to wear ijab in accordance to her faith and deny the other her religion beliefs, then you are a plain failure.
ABEOKUTA – Reactions have started trailing the decamping of
2013 Batch A, female corps member, Ms Tolu Ekundayo, by the
National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ogun State for wearing skirt
at the Shagamu orientation camp.
In a press conference organised by Ekundayo’s church, Faith Revival
Apostolic Church, FRAC, in Lagos, the expelled corps member said
she was asked to leave the camp at about 11.00pm on March 8,
2013 by the Ogun State NYSC Co-ordinator, for her refusal to
put on trousers.
She explained that her refusal to wear trousers was not in
disobedience to NYSC authorities but in line with her belief and faith
in God.
Also speaking, Apostle Paul Adenuga condemned the manner in which
Ekundayo was expelled from the camp in the dead of the night
without considering her safety and called on the Director-General
of NYSC and the federal government to look into the matter
before it gets out of hand.

When contacted, the Ogun State NYSC Co-ordinator, Mrs T.I Anosike maintained that the Service did not expelled anybody. According to her, Ms Ekundayo opted to go instead of abiding by the rules and regulations of the scheme.

She said wearing anything outside approved NYSC kits during the orientation programme was not allowed in the camp. This she said was the reason why every corps member was made to signed undertaking on cultism and dress code.

“Nobody asked her to leave. She was asked to comply with the NYSC directives or leave. So she decided to leave. When she said that she won’t comply, we asked her to put it in writing which she did. So we didn’t expel her, she left on her own.”

I strongly condemn the unprofessional manner at which the NYSC coordinator handled the issue but still she should have understand the fact that it's for her own good to wear trousers..can she run, parade or do those camp drills in skirt?....NO! The khaki Trousers sef dey big, eim no dey tight, more also it's the constitution of our great nation...Give unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's abi no be so?

Be wise. Don't ruin your future because of one hasty, not-well-thought-out decision.

if you feel that for whatever reason, you can't go with the stipulated uniform, then stay home!
Don't you see the BIMBO is obviously a kid, she is yet to know what finesse and diplomacy is, religious Dumbos like her destroy opportunities just because they want to show proof of their piety and unbriddled overzealousness.
It would have been a completly different case if she did not know about the code of dressing but in her case she is in it to prove a needless point and score some holy points. christianity without common sense.

Guy, you know nothing about the word of God and stop quoting those text you know nothing about.
How does not wearing trouser sound like the word of God. This is cheap hypocrisy. Both the girl, her dad and her church are simply foolish for indoctrinating and brainwashing that girl to the point of opting out of the camp because she refused to abide by the camp rules. Is service by force? why did she sign the dressing code rule? Is she aware that by signing the code rule and not keeping to it is a sin against God? She could have kept deferring her service year it until she's past 30 and put in for overage.
These are the people that make Christianity look like a religion or some sort of rituals. SMH

Bastituta: think first bf talking. Wu ask her nt to cover her hair or wia ani cap she want bt wen odas r wearin trouser she cant be excluded cos its a standing rule dt all corpers must wear trouser or she fit use skirt clinp or do all dos excersi?
you should apply your advice to yourself first. If they had allowed her to wear d skirt and then she complained she couldn't do the exercises, then they would have ample right to punish her.she would be wrong but now, they are on the wrong side of the bridge and she's right

Shes not a learner but a HERO...

She stood her ground irrespective of your views and that others...

Some of you corpers and ex corps fell for cheap temptations and konji, cash, cheap connections and all...

Here is a corp member standing her ground and you called her a learner . ..

Oboy na you be learner oo!
na person like you go deny Jesus christ cos of N1000
arrant nonsense!! What hero?? Didnt she know the rules of NYSC b4 accepting her call up letter?? Sending her out that late isn't justified buh learn 2follow rules,it doznt make u less of α christian. Rev sisters in camp wear trousers.if she knew her bible well as α christian, then she'll know her new testament tells us that God sees beyong what we human sees.its all bout ur inner self..how will she go about with skirt knowimg how rigorous campimg activities are?? Let's face the truth plz, maybe decamping her wasn't the best choice, buh she basing her actions on religious beliefs is purely ignorance..what military camp accepts skirts?? Muslims sisters sef wear trouser, she for sew baggy trouser na..plz understnd religion, this isn't religion!
