The prophetess says her husband has become a threat to her life.

A 51-year-old woman on Wednesday pleaded with an Agege Customary Court to dissolve her 22-year-old marriage over alleged adultery and threat to life.
The petitioner, Titilayo Oluokun, a prophetess, who lives at 8, Aina Aladi Street, Agbado, Lagos, told the court that her husband, though a pastor, goes after “everything in skirt”. “Four women had four children for my husband in the last three years and he also has numerous girl friends; I know some of them because they live on my street. “I was in the church sometime in 2009 when a woman came with three children, claiming they belonged to my husband, who she said, had neglected her.

“It was a thing of shame because I am the founder of the church and also a prophetess, while my husband is one of the pastors. “I gave the woman N20, 000 and begged her; I told her not to come to the church to disturb me again and when I told my husband, he only thanked me,” she said.

The mother of two children aged nine and 18, told the court that she once brought her husband before another customary court and the case was settled there. She said in the other customary court in 2011, her husband was asked to write an undertaking that he would not impregnate any other woman
again.
“To my surprise, he impregnated two women after that and I knew I had to call it quit with him.
“He beats me at every slight provocation and even threatens to kill me; he does not give the children money for feeding or pay their school fees.

“I got him arrested sometime last year because he wanted to stab me and at the police station, he was asked to move his things out of my house,” she said.
The prophetess told the court that her husband has been living in the house which she built. She urged the court to dissolve the marriage and give her custody of the children. Her husband, Adewale, did not appear in court and had also been absent in the last two sittings.

The Court President, Emmanuel Sokunle, adjourned the case to April 3 for further hearing.

Hmmm... I‘m just imagine if d Pastor were Islamic Scholar how ds page would have bn loaded with all sort of insults to both Islam & Muslims. But they now kept mute. The earlier they do something about the rampant cases of adultery, fornication, homosexuality & child molestation taking place in the so called “House of God“ the better.

Dont marry a muslim because he will have 2,3 wives but marry pastor that will be father of many cities .....

Truly nothings underscores their hypocrisy than the above, they enjoy reading bad news about others and making bad comments likewise but when one of their own is found wanting they go mute and silent same way they remained mute and silent when Rwanda was speedily executing innocents and likewise Congo today . . . Hypocrisy seems to be an inherent Nigerian trait!
