and who said the mother do not have a place of work to return from, except, the woman is a full house wife, your last statement is an insult to a working class wife/mother.
To me, anyone that is less busy at the point in time can help the kid wit it, its a pleasurable and proud thing to do.

Both parents should help their kids with the homework. But the dad needs to do more of the helping cos he might not really have time to bond with the kids as the mother does. Except if the mom is more intelligent than d dad; then d dad has to look 4 some other way to bond with his children. That is very important.

The main point iz any available parent myt work it out, bt in most cases the duty seldoms fall on the father... Dnt gt me wrong

it should be the dad. kids are more likely to sit up listening to the baritone voice of the dad than the mum who can be sometimes soft. i am good at math and english so the wife should be in the kitchen - making a bowl of steamy beans....

I don't think the issue of who will help out the kids with their home work is a big thing, either the mother or the father could help out depending on who has the flair to handle children. Children will respond more to the person that understand their psychology.
