There are times when the law or common human ethics are in line with what the Bible or Quran says. For example the bibke say "thou shall not kill" and the constitution of the country says the same, but there are times when the the law says something is wrong but nut necessary wrong according to the bible. So where do we draw the line.

There is legal/secular laws and there's spiritual laws. They are not the same even if they seem to say the same thing. Where the law of the land says "do not kill" and the law of the spirit says "do not kill", they don't mean the same thing though it is wise to keep both laws. If you killed somebody without cause; you'd still be a christian but you might also spend the rest of your christian life in jail.

Much of the secular law was gotten from the bible, though many were removesd with time 'cos of civilization.
