Court Adjourns Tiwa Banks' Case For Hearing by OAAkindiya: 12:15pm On Mar 21, 2013
An upcoming Artiste/Model, Tiwa Banks' matter came up at Magistrate Court, Ojokoro on the 19th of February, 2013.

The matter was slated for Mention. Prosecutor, Clara Olagbayi announced
his appearance and the Defence Counsel, Kayode, Esq also announced his
appearance. Bukky Olakunleyin, Esq and Olumide Akindiya, Esq, Watching Counsels for all the Complainants, also announced their appearance. The Prosecutor rose to call the Complainants and the IPO who were in court, except Olushola Ajayi.

The Prosecutor humbly applied to substitute the charge and the Defence Counsel didn't oppose the application. The new charge was tendered which now included Attempt to Murder Temitope Bankole under Section 228(1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011, apart from the 3 counts charge against the Defendant, Tobi Obadina. The Plea of the Defendant was taken on all the 4 count charge which he pleaded not guilty. The Defence Counsel applied that the Defendant should continue his bail as earlier granted. One of the Watching Brief Counsels, Olakunleyin with leave of court opposed such application on the ground that the punishment for Attempt to murder is life imprisonment and whether the court could hear the matter. The Court ruled that the Defendant should continue his former bail terms. Counsels agreed on adjourned date.

The Court adjourned the matter to 9th of April, 2013 for Hearing.
