When I was to recharge my MTN line this morning, I was surprised to get an error message that, the recharge code does not exist or something like that, after dialing *555*Pin#. I then checked the 200 naira paper printed MTN recharge card and I found out that, MTN have now returned *555*1*Pin#, a development that wasn't there last week when I last recharged the MTN line.
Meanwhile, I learnt during the Obasanjo administration that, MTN were paying OBJ a bribe of 1 naira for every recharge made...

...on the MTN Nigeria network, hence its immdiate stoppage after the Obasanjo presidency.
Now, if the OBJ's bribe allegations were true then, who is/are today the new man/clique that MTN is now bribing by returning back the *555*1*Pin# USSD recharge code?
Nairalanders, what are your views over this MTN reintroduction of its 'old' recharge process?

Did you mean to say this is a make-up? Please buy any paper printed MTN recharge card and see what's there. Or, do you mean that, it is only MTN recharge cards in Benin City, Edo State that are affected? Please, educate me how this should be in the joke section. Thank you.

When I buy a recharge card, all I check is the pin for the recharge.I don't check to see how to recharge and et al so I don't know what was written on it.

My brother, I no be any ambassador to Glo, they just happened to be my service provider of choice. As for the MTN stuff, I don't think it has to do with my line but, it was what I discovered wiile trying to load the line.
