My pen refused to write

And going down to plead
Still it refused to give heed

Chinua is gone
Why must I leave on?'

But I beseech you o pen
Listen before you depart from men
Hold your breath
That you might hear the solemn truth
Chinua is dead
But his course loses not its' head
His legacies abound
Even though he now dwells beyond
He did his part
Before things fell apart
He is gone
But his pen lives on
