INTRODUCTION:

NILODA is short for Nigeria Lorry Drivers Association which has it's corporate Headquarters at Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria and already has offices in over 23 states of Nigeria including Abuja and yet counting.

NILODA is a product of consensus by the various lorry drivers & owners Unions/associations in Nigeria for the purpose of a better synergy and streamlining the activities of the various unions, thereby eliminating bureaucracies inimical to their smooth coexistence.

This is the SINGLE lorry drivers union in Nigeria that legally has a nation-wide coverage in addition to being superior to any other such organization by reason of it's acceptance, composition and recognition by the appropriate federal government authorities.

MODE OF OPERATION:
Membership of this organization is basically optional. In other words, we register vehicle owners/drivers who has made voluntary and conscious decision to become members. Being a registered member of this organization means, on your own side, that you have agreed to abide by all the rules and regulations governing it while on the side of the association, we have vowed to ensure that you are not denied any of the privileges as provided for by the code establishing it in favor of it's members.

REGISTRATION FEE:
Prospective members of this organization are required to put forward a Registration fee of N5,100.00 only. This fee is payable only once which is in the case of fresh registration.The driver of a registered vehicle will also be issued with an Identification Card. It is therefore the obligation of the owner of a
member vehicle to retrieve the I.D from the driver in the event of sack or dismissal and notify NILODA accordingly forwarding both details of a replacement (if any) and the retrieved I.D to enable us issue a new one.

NILODA CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE:
This certification totally authenticates membership of the bearer hence we do not leave spaces for error in it's issuance. Being in possession of this certificate identifies the member beyond doubts and instantly eliminates further queries as to whether or not his/her registration is authentic. In breaking down the fresh registration package, the certificate is issued at the cost of N8,000.00 only.

NILODA STICKER:
After a successful registration, the member is issued with a yearly sticker which our honest advice would ask the member to paste on a part of the truck where it will be conspicuous to make work easier for both the driver and our task team. The sticker is obtained for N4,000.00 only. This sticker is renewable and all members are expected to approach us at the beginning of every calender year for the new one.

ANNUAL DUES:
All legitimate NILODA members pays an annual due of N6,000.00 only. This automatically translates to a monthly due of N500.00 only. These dues largely takes care of NILODA operational costs including the recurrent overheads e.g settlement of staff salaries, etc.

CAR LEVY:
The N2,000.00 Car Levy takes care of of mobilizing our Task/Rescue Team which is one of the most vibrant arms of this organization. NILODA has a vibrant task/Rescue team whose operation covers the length and breadth of Nigeria. This team is saddled with the responsibility of checking the activities of fake agents and those who patronize them in addition to being on hand to rescue/protect our members from unnecessary harassment/molestation by rival agencies/unions. Members are usually furnished with names and direct telephone contacts of all the state chairmen whom they are required to contact in the case of an emergency. These contacts however needs to be made in consideration of the state/area where the help is needed. In other words, the corresponding state executives should be contacted.

ANNUAL RENEWAL.
The Annual Renewal costs less while the member enjoys same robust warefare package. At the beginning of every calender year, all members are expected to obtain stickers for the year at N4,000.00 only, pay the Annual Dues of N6,000.00 only and then, the Car Levy of N2,000.00 only.

In summary therefore, an entirely Fresh/New NILODA Registration costs altogether, a total of N25,100.00 (Twenty-Five thousand, one hundred Naira only) while the sum total amount for Annual Renewal stands at N12,000.00 only.
