Great nigerian students,is it a must project supervisors are given gifts during the cause of project supervision,when its a criteria for promotion for them too sometimes..the rate at which most of these lecturers tax us is becomming unbearable..your thoughts please

Its not a must, but its a sign of appreciation, if the lecturer was helpful. As you may need their help later in future.

I just graduated from Great Ife and I'm sure that it's not a criterium to success for you to give supervs gifts, especially in my department.

Though, when I was done with my project, I bought a gift for mine just to show appreciation for his thorough supervision..............................

Most Project supervisors makes demands that amaze me.... I know of a school In Rivers state Where Supervisors charge 5k just to approve topic #RSUST

Besides, you know how the Nigerian system is, you have to sort someone somehow. Its not really a must to do it, but you wouldn't like the supervisor to be cold with you incase you need something later in future,
