Ortarico:

No bro, the fraction of meat can't be 5x/24.
Now this is according to the way of your working:
Budget=x
provision=x-x/4=3x/4. . .the fraction left
Now half of the fraction that is left is for staples: 1/2*3x/4=3x/8. . .fraction of staples
therefore the fraction left after deducting the fraction of staples is 3x/4-3x/8= 3x/8.
Now the fraction allocated for meat is 1/3 of the remaining fraction: 1/3*3x/8= 3x/24.
Therefore the amount-total fraction is: x - (x/4+3x/8+3x/24)
= x - (6x+9x+3x/24)
= x - 18x/24
=24x-18x/24
= 6x/24
6x/24=350
6x=8400
x=1400. . . .Actually!
No bro........i dnt tink so

2)Resolve 3/y^2+y-2 into partial fractions

A. 1/y-1 - 1/y+2
B. 1/y+2 + 1/y-1
C. 1/y+1 - 1/y-2
D. 1/y-2 + 1/y+1

Solution:
3/y^2+y-2= A/(y-1) + B/(y+2)
Multiply both sides with (y-1)(y+2)
3=A(y+2) + B(y-1)
If y=-2
3=B(-2-1)
3=B(-3)
3=-3B
B=3/-3
B=-1
If y=-1
3=A(1+2)
3=3A
A=3/3
A=1

.'. A/(y-1) + B/(y+2)
= 1/y-1 + (-1/(y+2) )
= 1/y-1 - 1/y+2 (A)

solution to questions-------
1)Once the parents are seated, the number of arrangements of the four children is
4! = 4x3x2x1 =24
But the two parents can also swap positions , hence the total number of
Arrangements is
2x24 = 48 (A)

2)Volume of pyramid=1/3 x base area x height
Volume of cuboid=base area x height
.'. Vol. Of pyramid/volume of cuboid=
1/3 (c)

3)Secθ=1/cosθ and sin(90-θ) = cosθ
Hence secθ sin(90-θ)=
(1/cosθ)(cosθ)= 1 (A)

B. 1/y+2 + 1/y-1
C. 1/y+1 - 1/y-2
