dv2015 huh - who said there will be one? dv2014 is quite likely the last one pending forthcoming immigration reforms. dvlottery.state.gov also notifies current entrants to keep their confirmation numbers handy till next year as there may be another round of selection - looks more to me like dv lottery is gone for good after this.

This has nothing to do with discrimination
“For DV-2015, natives of the following countries are not eligible to apply, because more than 50,000 natives of these countries immigrated to the United States in the previous five years: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.''

Imagine, 50,000 immigrants in d last 5 yrs. 1 thing keeps bothering me, for how long are we going 2 do this? Some are so desperate 2 travel 2 europe enroute paths that even angels fear to tread. Forgeting that Nigeria can be a better place if we join hands 2gether. All these places we're running 2, they become what they are 2day because the citizens did'nt deny their land & heritage by fleeing, rather they joined hands 2geda 2 bring abt revolutionary change. We can do it here as well, YES WE CAN, irrespective of religious, ethnic & cultural differences, YES WE CAN.

I don't think your insinuations matters much because what he said is the truth. How long will this continue? I'm sure the more we ask ourselves this question, the more we might make effort to emancipate ourselves from Nigeria political wolves. Everyone wants to run away but have it in mind everyone can't. While you may succeed, your family members will still be left in this hell hole, is that all we want? Living a good life in another man's land while our relatives, friends and family wallow in despair and hopelessness at home? Who dey cry dey see road o!

being born in Nigeria doesn't necessarily make someone a Nigerian or African , meaning they are not bound to that land undecided

Believe me some Nigerians are just hopeless. They forget that there is no place like home and wherever one is one is still regarded a Nigerian. There is nuffin in usa except you don't say the truth. I do my hols yearly in Massachusetts and I tell you people suffer in that place. Lottery my foot. It's just a slavery system that most people shy away from this reality..
Nigerians wake up and stop being third rated citizens in your host countries. Smh.

And how do you know who's bound to Nigeria? We are all leaving on mass out of desperation , nothing to do with not being bound to be a Nigerian. The cry here in this forum over Nigerians not being eligible for the DV 2015 sum up the desperation.

Believe me, if more Nigerians were comfortable enough to afford vacations in Massachusetts, the desperation won't be so much.

VisaOfficer: FYI, Wikipedia is wrong about this. I'm a Consular officer and I can attest that the threshold of 50,000 visas in five years has NOT been met in Nigeria. If there is a 2015 Diversity Visa program, under current rules, Nigeria will be eligible.

Join hands with who? With these ignorant buffoons who call themselves Nigerians? Just take a look at NL and see how some buffoons are supporting a bonafide criminal ifeanyi Ubah to become Governor. You want me to join hands with dumb Negroes who knowingly elect fraudsters to govern over them? Na OYO you dey ,i left Nigeria 12 years ago and i have not looked back ever since. My children are citizens of my adopted country so they will never be subject to the hellish conditions that exist in Nigeria. Most of my family members have come to join me in my new country and the ones that are still in Nigeria are crying everyday begging me to get them out of that trash hole called Nigeria.Call a spade a spade,Nigeria is a failed state inhabited by mostly morons who have lost the ability to engage their thinking faculties.Nigeria makes the simplest things very hard.If you have tasted heaven you can NEVER EVER go back to hell.
