Nigerians are really suffferijg and NBC doesn't seem to be doing anything about the ridiculous plans we get from these internet providers.

If anyone says MTN again I swear I'll give that person a very dirty e-slap. MTN that once you download heavily they will start chopping your credit. Etisalat is the only truely unlimited data blackberry plan in in Nigeria. If etisalat 3G network is good in your area, etisalat is really the way to go.

can you use the etisalat on non bb device?

If I could use Etisalat on my android device, I would be so much happier with it. But as at now, I can only use airtel and it flunctuates badly from 3G to Edge and even to Gprs sometimes. Etisalat would have been the best but since i cant use ot on other devices, i guess it sucks.

Airtel all the way for now especially with 2months get 1 month free prono that is on.

For me I will say ETISALAT has the best plan,I don't know about others.

I used airtel before, I left because I subscribed for weekly plan and couldn't browse until the sixth day despite several calls to the customer care.
I use etisalat now and the network is okay to an extent and its N100 now but I can't use whatsapp, youtube, video streaming and I am charged if I use them.
I only use whatsapp and the way they deduct money is ridiculous. Whenever I have some money left on •̸Ϟ•̸y phone, they would have deducted like N50 or more in 2 days even though I only use the whatsapp occasionally.
I don't leave much money on •̸Ϟ•̸y phone again and have to be buying N100 each time I want to call. The remaining balance would be deducted from again with messages like your last PAYG data is this while not even actively using whatsapp or you tube.
If I had not borrowed N450 from airtel to compensate myself for the weekly BB service I was unable to use, I would have returned to it but as it is I don't plan to pay back the loan.

Glo! Very stingy, though they seldom provide 'very slow' network speed, but online video streaming is impossible except you have credit on your phone.

Airtel! I haven't subscribed to their network before, but from what I hear people say; I grade them 3/10.

dont use what people say to judge,i hv been using airtel for 7months now from E5 to tecno N3(andriod) and i can categorically tell u,that airtel is d bomb whether 3g or edge.
Watched dat NSCDC guy on youtube with my tecno,i wonder why people say they charge for live streaming.
You can also use it on ur laptop.

Best plan (for enticing mor customers)...do u also mean best 'network coverage'. You surely wildnt expect MTN n' Glo to do so, except for 'competition reasons. And #FACT be told, etisalat have lost more than any network. Nigerians ar jst too wise now!!

i have this green 4G with 2 arrows icon on the top of my screen... i dont know wot it means... but i know that each time i turn my data on and it shows me 4G, i begin to wonder if my web pages are actually loading or am just swipping through already opened pages, cuz the speed at which it opens, marvells me a lot. i use mtn bis on my htc g2. one month plan which costs me just 1000. (mtn must be kidding me.-just 1000) well i have this appz installed on my device, 3G watchdog. it shows me the amount of data i consume. i did my subscription a week ago and am seeing 1.8Gig.... hmmmmm. aint that too much for just a week? well. i watch live streams up to 4 hours per day. including youtube, xnxx porn, aljazeera, trace tv, animal planet, etc. maybe thats the reason for the high data consumption. last time i did a subsciption it was a one week subscription.... i dont know the amount of data mtn allocates for one week BIS, all i know is that i downloaded FIFA 2013 700+mb, angry birds 40+mb, fruit slash 40+mb and a whole lotta heavy apps... that week i used my phone as a hotspot for two other people.... only God knows how many MB they used for their tablet application dowwnloads....... summary of my story..... dont you ever compare MTN network with anyother network.... no matter how poor mtn service and performance is, it is still the best! i ve used etisalat -them try, airtel -crap. glo-crappiest

click on wireless and networks
click on mobile network
click on access point names
click on menu
click on create new apn
on the page, just fill in any name for the first field..
then type in blackberry.net on the access point name field.
return back and ur access point has been created.
click on the the dot to activate it..
if u have an active BIS... you re good to go.

Visafone is the bomb, I have been enjoying their BB from the first day of launch. All I can say is that its awesome! The speed is fantastic and I don't get charged from my credit for streaming and wifi-hotspot tethering. Their volume is also unlimited even though they are not communicating that.

MTN netwk has bn crazy for ova a wk plus now.Those mofos at the customer's service keeps givin lame apologies when u cal 2complain that their netwk hasn't bn browsing&ur pings don't get delivered til hrs later.As for downloads;I'v downloaded ova 20movies since I subscribed on 26th of April&u knw how many MB each movie is&i use youtube a lot too.I also use my BBC sim on my galaxy&lappy too to browse&watch movies.I did d blackberry.net configuration that I learnt here on NL.I don't knw if they'l cut me off but bet I'v used ova 10-20Gig if not more on My MTN 1k BBC
