The American statue of liberty that is seen now is not the original copy. the original copy as sent from France was the statue of a black slave woman, this was meant to remind us of the slaves who were forced to the west through slave trade and worked as slaves for so many years. the original statue was refused by americans, they went on to make that of a white person instead. view this... 1 Like

Yes, I've heard about that also. There is a book or at least documentation on the statue. I've never seen a picture of the original though. |
