I have been charmed?


Pray give a name for this ailment
this constant soaring of the heart
and constant straying of the mind
to a face so sweet and strong.

Eyes so deep you could get lost
so beguiling, pulls you in
smile so warm it heats u up
belonging to a face so dear.

How i long to see that face,
feel that warmth and hear that voice,
as they speak of something more
an intense soul buried deep.

Who knows what the future holds
or How tomorrow will unfold
for that face resides in there
this heart it has chosen to dwell.

Honest opinions will be appreciated, pls.

Charmed I call myself
trapped I find myself
drawn I keep feeling
and pull back back I can't

i see the face when I close my eyes
I hear that voice in the wind
I smell the breath around me
and the warmth always envelopes me

Even though deny I do
even when I fail to admit it
My heart knows the truth
and my eyes betray me

the sun shines brighter with the presence
the air smells fresher
life is more beautiful with that person
perhaps my senses are just heighten

even though I fail to make that call
even though I close my eyes for fear of it betraying me
even though I hide the goose pimples in fabric
two things cannot be hidden....

So here i am
Picking up my pen
Trying, striving
struggling to be heard.

I put the words down
The music of my heart
Yearning to be heard
Convincing in their sound

They take control of me
Gaining their own life
They spill across the sheet
Rejoicing in release.

Now, i try to make them stop
I struggle to resist
But my hands betray me
Surviving in the heat

Until the beat is taken
And this melody stops
Unless the music ceases
These words shall be written.
