Lucifer, Anal and Mafia No Fear - The astonishing names which parents wanted to give to their newborn babies

Naming a child is one of the most difficult decisions faced by any new parents. But it appears that not all parents take the responsibility as seriously as they should.

At the start of 2011, the then Pope declared war on parents naming babies after celebrities, fruit or popular sports cars. In an address to parents, the ever-progressive pontiff pleaded with worshipers that when thinking of baby names, they should ‘give names that are in the Christian calendar'. So Apple, Brooklyn and Ferrari are out, Francisco and Giulia are in.

But Benedict's not the only authority figure to stamp down on one of the sillier by-products of celebrity culture. Various baby names have all been banned around the world for reasons of taste, decency or just plain daftnesss.

However, officials in New Zealand have released(1st of May, 2013)a list of baby names which were put forward by parents for their children but rejected by authorities. According to the registrar, a name may be rejected if it is thought to "cause offense to a reasonable person," is "unreasonably long" or "resemble an official title and rank," Gawker explains. That means "King" "Duke" and "Princess" are out, too.

As reported by the Daily Telegraph, the list of 77 names shows that the parents of one child wanted to call it 'Anal'. Thankfully for the child, the Department of Internal Affairs turned down the proposed name. Other suggested names on the list included 'Lucifer', 'Mafia No Fear' and 'Queen Victoria'.

One child was set to be called '.', as in 'full stop'shocked until the authorities prevented it. Other bizarre examples showed that some parents appeared to have given up on thinking of a name for their child, with names '2nd', '3rd' or 5th' all put forward.

The name rejected most often was 'justice' which was turned down 62 times. Combinations on this including 'Juztice' and 'Justus' were also refused.

What exactly is 'behind based'?
no more Justus? Did it die with Justus Esiri the actor? Why would Princess be banned? Not funny.

Even the british wey invent the language are not this crazy. Let me look up *naming culture of new zealanders*
