The Nigerian Medical association Abakaliki chapter goes on indefinite strike following the abduction of their colleague Dr Manyike. The pediatrician was kidnapped in his house yesterday morning. His gateman who tried defending his duty post was shot dead instantly. The hoodlums jumped into his SUV with him and dashed away. The association has given an ultimatum to the state government to ensure his release or face the wrath of the association.
