Government Unconcern About Asup Strike by Nobody: 9:39pm On May 20, 2013
Valentine writes from F.P.I
The duel between ASUP and FG is like
a vicious cycle with our future left in
the conundrum and the
consequences of this exhibition will
be flagellated on the already
mutilated polytechnic students. The
product of a five years program –a
stigmatized diploma would now be
stretched –painfully and
unnecessarily. we must act!
But how do we rescue our prospect
from this hounds of wolves-cum
government with so many cowards
abound? With legions of fraidy-cats
lurking amidst us? We all ranted and
howled at the onset, we were
steaming with gusto to lacerated the
government. we punched the air with
vigor and we were ready to tell the
universe that Nigeria polytechnic
students can not be underestimated.
How invigorating!
However, when the marching order
was announced yesterday for us to
cook our esteem and storm FCT Abuja
en-mass and tear down those walls
that impede on our academic
advancement, soon everyone
seemed to be drifting into the realm
of cowardice. Whispers of
discouragement from flew from one
ear to the next. hints of fright and
caution swam in every comment
made. we became scared. Boko-
haram, soldier, bomb, stray bullet ran
through everybody's mind like
wanderers who know not when death
would struck. it's good to take
caution.life has no duplicate indeed.
We don't have to protest! lets
continue to wallow at home. the
ladies can go breed children like
prolific rodents. And the guys, of
course we can always get one manual
job under the scrutiny of a
braggadocios Bsc holder. maybe then
we will all understand that injustice,
prejudice and stigma has no
duplicated either.
