Parents, how does your kids, especially babies let you know they've had a good night sleep?

I am not a parent, but my nephew is currently staying at my house. When he wakes up early he starts talking immediately and goes about troubling everyone. That's how you know he had a good sleep

Very young babies (under 1 year) wake up cooing and smiling, with flailing arms and legs in their cots.

Toddlers wake up talking and singing to themselves before calling out to their parent(s) in a loud voice to be picked up or taken out of the cot.

The slightly older children wake up full of energy and ready for the the day - you get them running up and down the stairs as soon as the sleep don clear for their eyes!

Teenagers - well, they wake up (very late on weekends), but are less grouchy. cheesy cheesy

@Bolded

Children of what age? Are they still the joy of every household when they grow older, develop a mind of their own, become disobedient, lie to their parents, join cultism in school, get pregnant outta wedlock before they reach adulthood? Let's just say very young children are the joy of most households. As for the other question, I believe other commenters on this thread have said what I had wanted to say.
