ECOWAS FASHION Show And Fashion Gala Night Marks ECOWAS 38 Anniversary In Style by GLeesMODEL(m): 10:18am On May 28, 2013
It was all glitz and glamour at the most anticipated fashion events of the year, ECOWAS FASHION and Gala night marking the ECOWAS 38 anniversary showcased impressive fashion design talents and remarkable clothing concepts on Sunday, May 26th, 2013 at the prestigious Musa Yaradua Centre - Abuja

The atmosphere and ambiance of the event was one that suggested that the organisers were not new in the business of fashion as this years show was packed with brilliant design talent, cutting-edge fashion, and spectacle and drama that will go down memory lane.

The ECOWAS fashion showcased 9 collections featuring a diverse range of designs of male and female inspired by House of Jola, House of Faraah, keto Couture, 8th Republic Hollerose, Alphadi Niger, Republic, Sally Intiego and Pathe 'O . Obviously the show proved to be a giant success with the massive turnout and overwhelming response from the audience who were thrilled by the unique concepts and the African fabrics on parade.

It is pertinent to note that the fashion show which attracted ECOWAS ambassadors, dignitaries, celebrities and models was packaged by Joan Isioma Okorodudu, the originator of the prestigious Nigeria's Next Super Model, and the founder of ISIS Models Africa. Mrs Joan who also has a fashion label known as HOUSE OF JOLA with many awards at her coffer has great passion for fashion, which has made her constantly relevant in the fashion industry.

According to Joan Okorodudu, The initiator of ECOWAS FASHION Show “ the ambiance of the event was that of class and sophistication reminiscent of what you would find among the fashion best anywhere in the world. This occasion is specially designed to showcase African Fabrics and to mark the 38th anniversary of ECOWAS”

She further told Glees Media of the forthcoming launch of ECOWAS fashion week this October. A great platform for African Designers and Designers that appreciate the African fabrics to showcase their creativity on the big stage.

One of the high points of the event was Mrs Isioma Okorodudu beholding the gorgeous presence of Isabella Ayuk the reigning Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria at the show. In her exact words " Oh, she is so beautiful, I have waited to meet her and am excited to see her”

However, the theme of this year's glamorous and colourful show was tagged : `The Business Side Of Fashion`,
Which ran for two days with Seminar and Fashion Gala night.

In truth, it lived up to expectation.
