Do We Have Choices Of Food In Nigeria? by Nobody: 12:22pm On Jun 01, 2013
We were born to believe that 3square meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) make a compplete feeding day for human beings, but in a harsh economy such as this in Nigeria where citizens are surviving instead of living, do we have choices of food. The belief that a light nutritous food is good in d morning, hard one in d noon and less hard at night is what makes a day. But here in Nigeria, we dont practice such doctrine becus we've no choices. A man may wake up in d morning not knowing when d 1st meal will come, by 3pm, garri and ogbono soups lands in his front. Another man may wake up in the morning, instead of tea or coffee, you see him blowing eba he had prepared over-night combined with an unwarmth draw soup becos he doesnt have a choice. U go to parks early enough, all u see are people opening N70 bread and swallow akara inside it and begin to wax it. Political elites (abt 4% of the population) may have choices but as for others (94%), no choices at all as we eat whatever crosses our way at any given point in time.

What is ur observation?
