Hi, I recently purchased a used BB Z10. I was told it was unlocked of course it wasn't (yes I know I should of checked before I walked away). I was told the last carrier was Fido and of course it wasn't. I have spent the money on trying to get it unlocked by guessing the carrier but to no avail. I have called BB Worldwide and they can't tell me who the last service provider was and the phone does not tell me. I am fairly computer savvy and no where on this phone does it state the provider's name. I have tried calling various providers to see if the IMEI is registered to one of them. I have guessed at the provider to get unlock codes and am now down to my last two tries.

I have gone into the engineering screen and the only thing close to providing me with provider information was an AT&T address book. Although, I called AT&T and they have no record of this phone's IMEI being registered.

You are my last hope before I brick the phone and hopefully it will then tell me who the provider is.

Does anyone know how I can unlock this phone without knowing the providers name? Does anyone have any suggestions other than to brick the phone to find out who the provider is? Once bricked will the phone tell me who the network is locked to?

PS. The phone also has a RDV number instead of the normal PRD, from which my understanding means it has been refurbished.

Any help is appreciated.
