Nigerias richest man sells 1.5% stake in the cement business to buy the chevrons oil wells off the coast of bayelsa state that is currently in the market.
this move is not unconnected to the refinery that he is about to build in Nigeria. It is believed that this purported oil wells will provide crude oil for the new refinery.
Calls placed to the lagos head office of the company for confirmation were not returned.
Our source believes that the company does not want this information out in the public yet as negotiations on the deal is still ongoing and pending the approval of the nigerian government.

Why are you guys always crying and whining? How can an individual businessman be equated to "the North"? Why do you ibos see everything from the prism of "tribe" ONLY? Is Dangote now equal to millions of his kinsmen and "the North"? BTW, Chevron owns the oil well and can choose to sell to anyone under mutually agreed terms, it's not Dangote's fault that you cannot afford to buy a bicycle spoke, much less know the road to the oil wells! FYI, oil wells in Bayelsa belongs to Nigeria, not biafra! Gerrit?? angry angry angry
