What an MTN staff told me:

Old plans are being gradually phased out and here is how:
There are two new plans now, smooth talk and true talk.New subscribers will by default be on true talk. Existing subscribers can migrate to either of the new plans.once you migrate to any of the new plans, u can't migrate to any of the old plans again.Finally,Migration between old plans are no longer possible.
In short sha, those on old plans will continue to be on their old plan except they migrate to any of the new plan.cheers bro!
