Do you think a man of God who constantly exhort their congregation of fellow worshippers to have faith in God, have or be walking around with a lincensed gun for their own protection?

Nooooooooo. He shouldn't possess a gun because if he doesn't use it on anyone, a member of his family might use it to harm someone else.

If he has faith as he claims, and he's sure that God does exist, what does he need a gun for?

God would surely protect him and keep him safe from harm...acquiring a gun licensed or not makes him a hypocrite.
