Abidjan-Ivory Coast

Abidjan is the economic center and former official capital of Ivory Coast. As of 2011 it was the largest city in the nation and the third-largest French-speaking city in the world, after Paris and Kinshasa.

Village Elder-Ivory Coast

old is part of culture in Cote d'Ivoire ( Ivory Coast). Our ancestors have been living with gold for thousands of years way before the "White" people penetrate Africa. The using of gold is a traditional aspect of our society in EBURNIE ( Ivory Coast/ Cote d'Ivoire ). By the way the original name of Cote d'Ivoire or Ivory Coast is EBURNIE,meaning the land of proud Black people. That's where the terms "ebony", "ebene" came from.

West Africa the home of GOLD COAST

onila: Algeria

Algeria, the north African country where the "Black"=African people who are the origial "Algerians" are still discriminated by the Arab government. Just check in any Algerian institutions ( government, companies, universities, etc) if you can see a "Black"-African who is a born-Algerian citizen holding "high position".You won't find it.Why? Because there is a unwritten "law" out there preventing the "dark skin" Algerians to just serve the Arabs/ Caucasian-Asians.

Onila what place is that in the picture? It is breathtakingly beautiful........

Great thread by the way.

Adamskuty: hmm! Noble fulaman, why is it that some northerners call themselves hausa/fulani and not hausa or fulani separatly??

Most of my friends from the north say they are hausa/fulani, Why do they combine the two?

Is it that hausa/fulani are different from pure hausas and pure fulanis?

Exactly, inter marriages between Hausa and Fulani lead to the having of Hausa/Fulani, but in essence there are the pure blooded Hausas and the pure blooded Fulani (majority of whom still live a nomadic life). However, it is difficult now to find a Hausa man without Fulani blood in his lineage.
