Why are some people concerned about Iran going nuclear when the US, UK, France all produce nuclear weapons.

Why are some people concerned about Iran going nuclear when India, Pakistan and Israel are not signatories to the NPT and as such develop nuclear weapons.

In the history of the world as it stands together only the US has used atomic bombs on 2 civilian populations and yet they want to dictate who develops what and who can be trusted with what.

this is the same childish response that holds no water. No one is denying the Iranians the "right" to nuclear weapons however the past has shown us that when these rogue nations do possess nuclear weapons they are more than likely to use it against their percieved enemies.
Iraq launched scud missiles at Israel during the gulf war that didnt involve Israel at all!
Iraq has used nuclear weapons against its own citizens.
We know that Iran is bent on destroying the jewish nation.
We know how much Iran and Syria have destabilized Lebanon.
We know how up to 6 arab nations surrounded Israel to destroy her in 1948, 1967 and 1973 . . .

to compare France to Iran is simply incredulous!

Is Iran dangerous as NKorea and yet US talking to them? Iran is the only country in M/east that is a democracy. Iran helped US during Afghan invasion. Saudi Arabia has far more human rights abuses than Iran. Iran was the only country in M/east where its citizens rose in defense of US during 9/11. Iranians staged vigil and candle lights. There is also a historic fact that some Iranians helped some Jews during Holocaust. The problem is that Iranians elected a rogue president just like Nigerians elected OBJ. Its also worthy of note that 16 US govt agencies said that Iran suspended its nuclear programs.

The problem between US and Iran is not about Isreal, but the overthrow of a democratically elected govt in Tehran by US forces. Now , are there any pointers to fact that not talking to Iran has changed their behavior.I dont think there is any record of Iran's external agression towards their neighbours. Worst case scenario, bomb Iran , but does that stop them from Nuclear programs since they have got scientists and engineers who can start the program from scratch? We also need to remember that most of their neighbours have nuclear capabilities, and lots of US bases around them.

South African example should be a reminder to us no to excommunicate some countries that are ruled by maniacs. Also if Iraq is this tough, Iran will be tougher , no kidding. US can talk to them just like it did to N/Korea instead of using EU.
