Why Do Nigerians Fence Their Houses? by Afam4eva(m): 4:46pm On Jul 03, 2013 |
The obvious answer to this question will be security. But isn't there a way around it such that our residential houses will be open just like the Americans do theirs. I think fences take away the beauty that a house is supposed to add to the environment and it also makes sure that there's no uniformity. Every compound is like a country on it's own. Why can't we borrow a leaf from the way American suburbs look like. Just see this pics and tell me you don't like them: 1 Like

adewasco2k: Come to my estate and see, Estate Gate-->Street Gate-->Personal Gate. i don complain tayaVery soon people will have gates that lead to their rooms and another one that leads to their toilet...This is the reason why Nigerians find it difficult escaping when there's fire or any kind of danger. 9 Likes |

If your car alternator no loss, na im rear light and other orisirisi for your house go loss. America is a different environment with Nigeria. Why do you put locks on your doors? In America, only the entrance doors have locks My brother, na security ooo Abi gateman never tell you before say "oga no dey" when you can peep and see his cars.
