Letter To 'south Africans'. by Nobody: 11:03am On Jul 06, 2013 |
Nelson Mandela, also affectionately called MADIBA is a peaceful and a good man. He spent 27years in jail fighting for freedom. He had a heart of GOLD. But he did not have inner peace. Because he wanted to please everyone. But the world is a game. You cannot please everybody; the best player wins. To keep his good memory burning and the innocence of the country flying: 'South Africa' as the name of the country should be renamed and be called MADIBALAND, as Mandela is affectionately called; then will the country experience true healing, equality and blessing for all, regardless of race, color, religion, tribe and other form of isms. OR be doomed otherwise. His name and Image should not be put on money. God Bless Africa 1 Like |

Olodostein:no such thing should happen. Its not a blacks only country, it has indians, germans, and a whole lot of nationalities. South Africa wouldn't have been if it was just black people...its a country for Southerners not because Madiba was in jail for 27years. Our fore fathers contributed into the new South Africa....was the country name WalterSisululand? No! |

Life will go on after he passes on. We've come to accept that eventuality. |

Our fore fathers contributed into the new South Africa....was the country name WalterSisululand? No! You are really speaking garbage dear. Which father of yours from Lesotho contributed? Walter Sisulu is Mandela's kinsman why would that be a bad thing? As for all the people white, yellow and green love Mandela more then anything. Why are you being so negetive? Whats your suggestion? Must they call it Moeshoeshoel land? And who are you to say No about what SA should call their land. By the way its a suggestion that should rejected or accepted by SAns dont you think? You sound a little jealous? |
Re: Letter To 'south Africans'. by Nobody: 6:15am On Jul 08, 2013 |
andrewza: 'South Africa' as a name is ego centric. There are other southern African countries around. Your country is blessed; not in the resources within it's borders but in the diversity and uniqueness of the people. Nelson Mandela ushered in a New civilization in your country and to keep the flame burning, his good intention and innocence MUST not be taken advantage of, even in death. He is a good man who wants good for everybody. I listen to your music, culture and other good stuff. Listen, your country is too soulful for distress. It is a beautiful and blessed land, amazing in nature. Everybody should be given equal opportunity, get an education, a hand up and not a handout. Now, he is already on money huh? Well, in y'all subconscious mind, he will be seen as a money figure and not as a good, freedom loving and peaceful man that he is. If you ever want to have peace, true healing in that country, regardless of 'tribe, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality and what have you': Your children should decide not the adults. If y'all in your pride, can't bring yourself to accept MADIBALAND as your country name, then look for a natural place with a CENTRAL THEME that corresponds( UBUNTU) with the values Nelson Mandela and other GOOD fallen people e.g Oliver Tanbo, Steve Biko, Ghandi, and others fought for that brought Aparthied South Africa to it's knees. Olodostein: Madiba's face is on the currency, his name is on streets, universities, landmarks, towns, squares, plants etc. Azania is the name South Africa has been suggested should take. During the negotiation a name change was on the agenda but it never happened, some people are still calling for a name change. AZANIA is really beautiful. Re: Letter To 'south Africans'. by Nobody: 12:26am On Jul 09, 2013 |
fellis: The rich will get richer. The poor will get poorer. There won't be 'middle class'. This will in-turn cause recurrent violence. Not what Madiba would want to see: is it? |
Re: Letter To 'south Africans'. by Nobody: 8:51am On Jul 09, 2013 |
No hey!! It stays as it is. WE don't have a problem with it. Like someone has already said there are many things that have been named after him |

ngwana.mobu:OH thank you dear...its like some people have never head of Equality...South Africa represents The Zulus, Xhosas, Ndebeles, three types of Basotho;(Bapedi-Limpompo), (Batswana-Northwest) and (Basotho-Freestate), the Tsonga people, the Vendas, the Swatis, the bushman, Indians, Germans, the Boers...and a whole lot of different nationalities from Africa...its a dirverse country. Mandela faught for equality! Not the way 'some South Africans' are going about, having way too many rights and treat their fellow men like dogs. |

Freedom fighters were fighting for South Africa (country) not Southern Africa (region). If Africans are gonna continue acting like SA is the United States of Africa and that their fragile egos should be put into consideration whenever we make decisions concerning our country, then a name change is something that govt must prioritize asap. We cannot go on with lines being this blurred. 1 Like |
