I stopped working on this App since Google bought Waze. Who knows someone may just be interested, check it at http://traffic.reinsys.com/ Hosted for demo purposes only. No registration is required, we dont need to know who you are or where you are heading, that is dangerous. You don't need to to type while you drive, that is is also dangerous. But if many people will just turn on the app and drive, traffic will be better managed on our roads. Pretty simple HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. To port to mobile apps such as Blackberry, iPhone and Android you can consider PhoneGap aka Apache Cordova. |

OK, I have PHP/MySQL at the back, but if it is worth working on i.e if there is a sign that it may be handling millions of traffic, I will convert it to Scala/Mongo DB for scalability. |

how does it update positions on your remote server, are you sending HTTP request periodically?, using sockets?, comet? how is your backend? |
