I read that article yesterday and clicked on the link they provided and saw it was Nairaland. My uncle died from the beatings he received from referring in a game played in Ibadan in the 90s. I thought about that too and i felt "thunder must not strike twice", losing 2 people in a family to death via beatings from uncivilized citizens of Nigeria didn't go down well with me, so i opted out.
