pls help me out. Am an undergraduate student studying medicine and surgery. I wz d best before in terms of the entrance that ushered us into medicine. Wt pains me most is that others are clinching every course fast and wit nice grades. It seems am d one lacking behind. My 100 level G.p is not something to write home about. I had below first class grade struggling to be in a nice second class upper(4.30). Sincerely,my grades pains me alot when i could not catch up with first class grade. Please, i want to ask if there is any posibility of me leading in my department? kind of being astounding or the best. Please,i need a matured advice that could inspire me. I also need advice on the aspect of reading and understanding. Please does 100 level grades have anything to do with someone becoming the best in Medicine department? However,now u hv dscovrd d loophole,work on it n study ur books squarely,yle on it don't xceed yhu reading limit n endanger yhu life. Do d best u can nd leave d rest 4 d most high. Medicine makes use of grades,A-E where u must score above 50 to hv a pass n yhu 100L GP doesn't count 2 ur grades meanwhile u start ur pre clinical in ur 2nd year n enter ur clinical in ur 3rd year n thus goes d journey.

Bro,u sound so much like a doctor.. Thanks... I av a question. Does it mean that our 100lvel results won't count to our grades when we enter pre-clinicals and clinicals? So,our main grades as medical students counts from 200lvl being pre-clinicals? Explain better

@op I totally agree with dubemkelly. At this stage in ur life, u have to dissociate urself from the secondary school mentality of being first and focus on how best to serve ur patients and on the kind of doctor u want to be.
While it's true that being the best might have its perks, it won't give u any real satisfaction if that's all u re aiming at. Why don't u aim higher and conc on what u need to knw to be a 'good' doctor and not just the 'best' student.
I really hope that u won't be sorely disappointed in this quest cos trust me, it's not an easy feat. I do think u have the right attitude though but not the direction, so all the best

anyway, if its someone's story you heard, people with high pre-entrance scores sometimes have trouble keeping up in med school. The person has to find a way to improve their results, maybe examine their study habits or something.

Not holding brief for him but when have core science students been known for their grammatical prowess? When did a perfect diction become a fundamental prerequisite to study medicine? Make no mistake, I do not endorse poor grammar, just pointing facts out.

As soon as you explain how they pass their exams after using indecipherable diction and unknown language, you're good to go.

"indecipherable diction" you managed to offer an opinion on. Essays are not written to gain admission into medical school, you'll do well to remember that. I don't know if he's a medical student or not, but I know there are a million reasons to lie about being one and seeking advice isn't one of them.
