Is this a joke or something? Instead of telling your leaders in government to honour an agreement they voluntarily signed with the lecturers in 2009, you are here engaging in wild speculations. Meanwhile, Nigerian Senators, already the most lavishly remunerated in the world, have just approved a bumper pension scheme for themselves - and that in a country whose universities have become a byword for sub-standard education. Yet lecturers have been pleading for years that the Federal Government should fund education up to at least a quarter of what smaller African countries like Ghana, Botswana and Mauritius are doing. But our morally bankrupt politicians, who educate their children abroad, are saying it can never be done. So, we poor Nigerian youths are condemned to enrol in universities where those of us who study chemistry will never have access to a moderately good laboratory or even reagents for our practical lessons - except our parents provide them. Same applies to libraries and other educational facilities. They are either obsolete on non-existent. The result is that no Nigerian university is listed among the first 5000 in the world!

If that's real then we are glad it is done. I hope ASUU terms are reached already by the government.

I hope it's not true. Well, it's not like i don't want to go back, i just want them to wait for like two more weeks, then everyone (majority atleast) would have been well prepared for school.

another hoax!!! I called my HOD who is the assistant secretary general of ASUU-ABU and he debunked this information. He told me that the NSCC(National Strike Coordinating Committee) which can even consider any plea to call off the strike is not scheduled for meeting until the next 2 weeks.
