Shell Nigeria Is Said To Reduce Its Foot Prints In Niger-delta Region Of Nigeria by dintexventures2(m): 3:36pm On Jul 22, 2013
Its no more a joke that shell petroleum Development Company of Nigeria who is the highest employer of Labour Nigeria is about to reduce its foot-prints in the Niger-delta area of the Country. This is a new development as a result of high oil theft in the region. The said company who did same at warri some time ago sent some of its staff to their portharcourt office after the selling-off of some its facilities.Majority of Nigerians lost their jobs while some families were displaced.

Can the Federal government fold their arms and watch this planned moves come in place if at all they are not the people advicing them to do so.The Federal govt is crying for creation of new jobs for the looming youths where the existing companies are been frustrated upto the point of thinking of selling off their companies. If this is actualised, many jobs will go and many families will be displaced just the same way it happened in warri.High level of crime will be experinced in the region as well when we are talking about job creation now and how to better the lives of our people.
Does it mean nothing can be done to avert this intended act?Cant the federal government intervene?

Also, even if selling-off the facilities is the last option what plans do they have for their staff and the contract staff?
How many years of grace did they plan giving before this will happen? They cannot come up one morning and decide to displace some people because of some in-house problems they experience in the region.Bunkering is been carried out by experts and security operatives.Has shell tried to investigate who is involved in the act.No smoke without fire. The same shell that is lamenting of high oil theft in the region if you view it well is still the same people responsible for the bunkering.

I see this as means of enriching themselves because the facilities will still be bought by some managers in the same shell.
All these International oil companies have seen Nigeria as a fertile ground to make their money, dump our people and move unto new side of business. Can this happen in their various countries?

My question is this, where do they want all their staff from warri that are presently in P.h to move to?Is there no way of doing this if not selling?

Its only in Niger-delta that you will see an army officer whose salary is not upto N100,000.00 driving a jeep. This might be an officer whose primary responsibility is to guide and protect the oil lines.Does it mean that nobody else has seen this or are we ignorant of what is happening?

Am calling on all well to do Nigerians to intervene in this matter before it gets out of hand.Continue lamenting untill the Federal government hears us.Thousands of Nigerians are about to loose their jobs if nothing is done from June to December 2014 as they said.We cannot sit down and watch this happen. Its not too late, something can still be done[b]Its no more a joke that shell petroleum Development Company of Nigeria who is the highest employer of Labour Nigeria is about to reduce its foot-prints in the Niger-delta area of the Country. This is a new development as a result of high oil theft in the region. The said company who did same at warri some time ago sent some of its staff to their portharcourt office after the selling-off of some its facilities.Majority of Nigerians lost their jobs while some families were displaced.
