Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus, has spoken out against underage marriage. She said issues like Boko Haram, national security, unemployment, oil theft, amongst other issues should be addressed instead of passing a law that would enable underage girls get married.

She particularly attacked Senator Ahmed Yerima, the lawmaker who led others to oppose the removal of a constitutional provision that legalises marriage to girls under 18.
