Finally taking the covers off
the next version of its mobile
platform, Google yesterday
unveiled the Android 4.3 Jelly
Bean. Many might say its not
really next generation just a
few updates here and there,
the changes are relatively
minimalistic too with updates
to multi-user and OpenGL ES
3.0 support among the points
in system’s changelog. We
always had multi user support
on 4.2 but now Google is going
a step further now by adding
Restricted profiles, allowing
you control access to apps and
certain content. Sort of like
parental control, you can now
control what the kids can
access and stuff like that.
Lately we’ve seen parent
complain their kids are racking
up thousands of dollars on in
app purchases. Not to wyorry,
these in app purchasing
options can now be hidden
from certain users completely.
There’s good news for gamers
too, as Android 4.3 upgrades
the OpenGL support to the
latest OpenGL ES 3.0 version
allowing developers to make
even better games. We hear
the new Nexus 7 will be the
first device to ship rocking the
4.3 Jelly Bean and other
devices like the Nexus 4 and
Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be
getting updates from today.
Nice development if u ask me. wink

Other features include:
1. Ability to get easier access to contacts with dialpad auto-complete.
2. Bluetooth now pairs with low-power devices.
3. Location features are now kept with always-on wifi scanning.
4. Developer bits...gpu logging, events and traces are now shown in real time. This might sound boring but its a great step ahead for developers
