@ Hustler,

Of course, Dayokanu's comments would wash with u because u both function on a single digit IQ.
It is difficult to know who is smarter among you guys. Serie A supporter and a Bundesliga fan.
2 of a kind(pillocks) cheesy grin

@ Dayokanu,

What makes u a LEGEND? cheesy grin   Lemme guess, u are a legend in a planet of morons. grin grin
Who else would Rummenige(porn actor) and Beckenbauer(Nazi Pedophile) support rather than the country they play for?
Puhleeeeeaze, is any team in Bundesliga going to be seeded for UCL in 2008/09 season?
At this rate, Bundesliga slots in the UCL would be reduced to 1 like Ukraine. grin cheesy

Alex Ferguson? He is the best living manager in the world.  Hitzfeld got sacked, Fergie won the European double.
Spot the difference?

The Italian and French players are just living on old glory. They are the highest average age in the tournament so why won't they struggle. remember what happened to German in Euro 2000. Read more analysis @
www.sports-fanatics-4ever..com

Anyhow I hope Italy still qualifies sha.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by dyabman(m): 4:51pm On Jun 17, 2008
I dont want them to qualify becos they can still come back to do Harms to hollands race to Glory, remember world cup 2006.

germany in this competition ain't doing fine and playing well, i hope they raise their game when playing Portugal,

Go Dutch!!!

Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by dayokanu(m): 9:15pm On Jun 17, 2008
You used to say that simply because Hitzfield won more UCL than
Fergie, that makes him better and that the UEFA cups and the
winners cups of this world and every other thing else do not matter.

Now Fergie has won 2 UCL and you've turned it to the time frame.

That won't cut it with me buddy.

Now both of them have 2 UCL we still have to separate who is better then the time frame comes into it.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Jackal(m): 9:19pm On Jun 17, 2008
@ Dayokanu,

They both have 2 UCL titles now. . . . .
The decisive factor now is local titles they have won . . tongue tongue tongue
Taking that into consideration, Hitzfeld cannot even clean the shoes of Sir Alex Ferguson.

P.S. Your Abidal has disgraced you yet again. tongue tongue tongue tongue
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by 4Play(m): 9:53pm On Jun 17, 2008
Does Dayokanu still think Luca Toni is one of the best strikers on the planet?

As for Fergie winning "only" 2 UCLs,these mooncalves should remember that Fergie took over at a time when English clubs were banned from Europe.Utd first competed in the UCL in the 93/94 season,in the 14 years since then,he has won 2 UCLs. . . that is fantastic given that he has also won 10 league titles since '93.In addition,he won the European Winner's Cup,beating Barcelona in 1991.

Hitzfeld had 6 years at Dortmund and 7 years at Bayern and won 2 UCLs in that time.In the 90s,the EPL was clearly inferior to the major continental leagues and thus competing in Europe was always a herculean task.

@Hustler

What do you make of Donadoni? He is chopping and changing the side like a mad chef. . . he doesn't seem to have a clue what his strongest 11 is and seems to be supine when faced with player power, how do you explain the mysterious presence of Matrix in the starting line-up against Holland?

I think Di Natale has been maltreated,he was quite lively against Holland and compared to Cassano,is a far better choice to start alongside the hapless Toni.

If Italy had a better manager, they can still win the Euros even with this current squad.I still don't understand why someone like Santocroce didn't make the squad.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by DrKitaun(m): 1:15am On Jun 18, 2008
who would u prefer DONADONI OR DUMMYNECH ? grin grin

of course the Italians have become stronger in the tourney as expected and like I had said, I wont be surprised to see them lift the trophy cool

Donadoni had to shuffle his team and even if he hasnt got it right yet, at least he got the results required undecided
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by topeorekoy(m): 6:50am On Jun 18, 2008
the french are out of euro 2008. really aint really amazed that they are out wen they brought so many old horses to the tournament. why was flamini not included in the squad? what did viera do throughout the season? flamini played almost thruout the season for arsenal and he was tremendous.

the likes of mexes was dropped and aging thuram was taken along. henry was played and benzama was left of the bench. as we cld see in the last match, he played very well. the list is countless, sagna, clichy who both had tremendous season were not taken along and sagyol was taken along. they both wld have added to the squad via their dart foward.

trezeguet who was phenomenon in the italian league wasnt taken and henry who wasnt really impressive was given the nod.

imagine i heard from the commentator that the reason for not taking pires was that he was the last boyfriend of dommench ex's wife

thats y the likes of spain and holland will progress very well in this tournament. blended youth, experience and form
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by dayokanu(m): 6:51am On Jun 18, 2008
@ Jackal,
Did you see how your Evra also performed. France lost it the moment Ribery left the field.

They both have 2 UCL titles now. . . . .
The decisive factor now is local titles they have won . .
Taking that into consideration, Hitzfeld cannot even clean the shoes of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Going by your standard Hitzfeld won 7 league titles in 13 seasons and Fergie won 10 league in 22 season Do the ratio and get back to me. We can reasonably say that if Hitzfeld had stayed for 22 years he would have more than 10. His ratio says so.

These sapheads should also know that Hitzfeld took over a dortmund that was a non issue in European football He competed in the UCL for the first time in 1995 and won it two seasons later, 1993, played UEFA cup final and lost to a Baggio inspired Juventus, 5 seasons later he won the UCL. Making Dortmund the last club to win the UCL for the first time in the last 12 seasons no one has beaten that record ask Valencia, Arsenal, Chelsea, Monaco and other newbies who play the finals. Where was Dortmund before Hitzfeld ? Nowhere. where are they after Hitzfeld? Nowhere. Hitzfeld made the difference.

Hitzfeld had 6 years at Dortmund and 7 years at Bayern and won 2 UCLs in that time.In the 90s,the EPL was clearly inferior to the major continental leagues and thus competing in Europe was always a herculean task.

Competing in Europe was an Herculean task for FC Porto given the standard of the Portuguse league yet they won. Competing in Europe was a Herculean task for Dortmund cos new teams dont usually win. How many did Chelsea & Arsenal win during their domination of the EPL. yet Hitzfeld won

Does Dayokanu still think Luca Toni is one of the best strikers on the planet?

Do you beleive Marco Van Basten was one of the best strikers in the world? How many goals did he get at Italia 1990 and Euro 1992 when he was at his prime?

who would u prefer DONADONI OR DUMMYNECH ?

I would pick any of them ahead of McLaren at least they both qualified for the Euros unlike McLaren

The French are out and I think its because of Gallas bad luck and hair style?

Old Horses? The 2 teams that played the 2006 world cup finals do you know their average age? The Greek team of 2004 do you know their average age? No one wins a tournament with babies that is what Arsenal fans dont understand. Even Ajax of 1995 Had Danny Blind in defence, Rijkaard in midfied and Litmanen in attack That is the youngest team I have ever known that won. Agreed He made some bad decisions like dropping Trez, mexes.
Including Govou in that team is still a mystery. I have known Govou for close to 10 years and he has never been outstanding for any season
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by hustler(m): 7:50am On Jun 18, 2008
FORZA AZZURIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Daniele De Rossi, What a playerFirst half passes from Pirlo. U will never get better from any player on this planet. On a technical level, aint too many players as good as Cassano (He's spaared us his "Cassanata"out bursts so far, but stripped half naked again yesterday)

WHat a game??I must confess DUMMYNECK threw away the game the moment he put Abidal in the centre to pair Gallas. Toni was always going to be a threat but as he proved in the last world cup, scoring in tournaments like this is a herculean task for him. From the penalty Pirlo scored till about the 3oth minute he had 3 good chances to score.

Credit to him tho the way he brought down Pirlo's out of this world pass to get the penalty. Let's forget the lucky goal, DDR was man of the match as he outclassed Makelele and Toualan in the middle. Wasnt a better player than him in his position in Europe last season. Gattuso got tired quickly bross don dey age oo. Now Raymond will surely be sacked as i still do not understand why he would leave out Mexes,Trezegol and Escude from that team to take Gomis,Boumsong, Govou. One of the worst coaches i have seen at international level.

At least DOn red my mind very well by giving Aquilani playing time as he would most likely play for Pirlo in his absence in the last game. Ambro also shored up things in the middle. The French midfield was non existent yesterday.

@ 4play,

I have noticed that Donadoni seems to let the press decide for him what to play. Like u said Di Natale did well in the first game but the clamour for Del Boy and Cassano to start by the press swayed him into lettin em start tho Cassano has justified his starting position, Del boy can get over his jittery form in the Italian jersey, the italian press say he should be wearing Juve colors playing for Italy.

Donadoni is sound tactically. He showed that while he was at Livorno. But Italy is another kettle of fish and he doesnt seem to follow his heart. Lets not forget he was also a pupil of one of the best coaches of all times Arrigo Sacchi who coached some of the best in the world presently (Van Basten,RIjkaard,Ancelotti,Tassoti,Gullit, e.t.c

Now the men will be separated from the boys as Italy will most likely play Spain. It will be mouth watering as i dont see their central defenders coping with Toni as they had problems coping with Ibra against Sweden. This is talk for another day tho.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by hustler(m): 8:30am On Jun 18, 2008
Before i forget, i remember sumone making up a stupid argument the other day that Fergie is the best in the world cuz he has many pupils that studied under him now coaching teams in the EPL like Bruce,Hughes,Keane,

What have these achieved in football today as coaches if i may ask. Can they be compared to Saachi's boys if dats the parameter?Only stupid person that could have brought up dat argument knowing him very well will respond to this to show his blatant ignorance again and try to justify his moronic argument.

Or wont uJACKASS.

I'd like to see a Fergie move from United to a club like Roma or Barcelona to replicate what he has achieved in England b4 i can think of him as one of the very best. TIll then DOn Fabio Capello remains the very best in my eyes.

FORZA AZZURI.

@ Husler,
Dont be mad at Jackal. He does not have the ability to think straight.

Saying Fergie is better than hitzfeld. Like a striker that scored 5 goals in 5 games and another that scored 5 goals in 20 games rating them as the same is outrageous

Fergurson and Man U are two things in football I have consistently hated over time. Really don't know why. I just hate English soccer. But Fergie is now definitely one of the all-time greats. . . if only he would stop chewing gum like a demented farmer. He's won everything there is to win in Club soccer and has dominated English soccer for long stretches.

@ Euro '08
Italy can definitely win the tournament. If they play Holland again I'm sure it will be a different story. The traditional teams always have an edge and truth be told, Germany don't look all that convincing. My head says Italy, my heart Spain.

@Hustler
Spain is my team and I've decided to pray and fast. Those wretched Italian teams KNOW how to cage Spanish flair any day of the week. And both Spain and Italy know it. Abeg help me beg your people. Una don win Euro tire. Allow boys na grin

I will not eat meat until we win.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by bgees(m): 11:39am On Jun 18, 2008
Likely, italy will play in d final. I'm now thinking spain may fall against italy. Although spain beat italy in a recent friendly convincingly, the italians look better.
I hope germany knocks out portugal.
And that Benzema boy is class! He should leave lyon now.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Jackal(m): 12:38pm On Jun 18, 2008
@ Dayokanu,

Evra did not DISAPPOINT. It's a shame the best LB player in the world plays for the shittiest team in Europe.
The left midfielder playing ahead of him never allowed Evra to burst forward to support the attack.
You need to see Ronaldo n Evra interchange to cause massive problems to opposition. Maybe that was Domenech's instruction.
That gutless Arrow should be shot.

As per Ferguson and Hitzfeld's ratio. . . . I have told u times without number to discuss on what was WON not what could have been!!!!
Fergie has won 10 league titles with Man Utd(never mind what he won with Aberdeen). Hitzfeld had 7 league titles. Do the math. cheesy
Arsene Wenger won 2 league titles in 3 seasons(2002-2004), if we go by that record, he should have had anutha 3 titles now BUT has he?
You obnoxious airheads don't know shyte about footie.

How dare u compare Marco Van Basten to that useless waste of space Luca Toni.
Last night alone, he could have had 5 goals easily if his finishing was anywhere near world-class. He is a dud player and his finishing is wonky.
Thinking about it now, it could be argued that Eric Abidal didn't deserve to be sent off because, given Toni's form, the clumsy defender didn't really deny a clear scoring opportunity. Mr Dayo, at this point, i can authoritatively say you are a DINGBAT-ish plastic fan.

P.S. Van Basten had an excellent tournament in Euro 88. . . . . .Tell us one tournament Luca Toni has blazed in his miserable life!!!!!

@ Hustler,

Are u such a numbskull? What kind of dorks have now populated this forum with their ever annoying moronic drivel?
Hughes, Keane and Bruce are the last generation. . . . .What about Walter Smith, Gordon Strachan and many others who have managed national teams?

Your status as a pederast still stands because i did not use that basis alone to make Fergie the best living manager in the world. He's had many students grow under him, have the highest haul of domestic titles anywhere in the world, last manager to win the treble, and he is still hale n hearty to do more.

What has Arrigo Sacchi won? How many league titles did he win with AC Milan?
Why am i even bovvered with a deranged gibbon like u? You don't know your footie.
The next time u spew this type of piffle at me, i would push ma hands in your mouth and pull your fucking SKELETON out!!!!

@ Dyabman,

Your case should be reported to the nearest mental home.
As soon as i heard ants crawled up ur ass i knew we would have a mental case on this forum
Go n seek help or better still, call Pastor TB Joshua. cheesy grin

SAF should sack himself to play somewhere else to prove points to u people? stop using drugs!!!

Holland will kill Italy, Germany or any of those pretenders.

TKB, Why u dey yan like dis?? We r talking coaches here not players. World class players like Maldini have nothin to prove. They have proven all in all big stages Serie A,UCL,Uefa Cup, World cup, Euro Tournament. Movin sumwhere else doesnt count.

For me playing in another league wouldnt add or subtract frm their class.

For coaches it's different and it will be a pity that SAF will not be able to prove outside of England to show that he's the very best given the no of domestic titles in one country he's won. Or do u think if Paul Le Guen had remained at Lyon he wouldn't be winning titles still prolly up to 20 league titles What did he achieve at Rangers and at PSG

Like i said the reason i consider DON Fabio as the VERY best is cuz he's proven his mettle wherever he's been. ROma,Juve,Milan,Real. God forbid England sha cuz EPL ignoramuses like Jackass wont let us rest,

And in most cases he's come when the teams havent won in a while and turned the spirit around allbeit in a very strict manner. Call him what u want DEFENSIVE coach bla, bla bla, his titles do the talking. Sumone like him for instance would have been winning titles all long too if he had remained at say Milan or Juve.

I believe for SAF to sonsider himself the best he should have challenged himself elsewhere.
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Jackal(m): 6:10pm On Jun 18, 2008
@ Hustler,

You are a big fool!!!
Calling Jackal an ignoramus when it's obvious i can school u about football even in your beloved Serie A which many of y'all don't watch.
You come here everyday to repeat the same rubbish i read on goal.com and u claim to know shyte. . . .
You need a tailor to seam back your brain contents with a black thread.

Fabio Capello only proved himself in HUGE CLUBS who have always had a winning tradition.
If Dayokanu(as moronic and mentally retarded is he) goes to Lyon, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Milan or Porto. . . . There's always that possibility he would win an avalanche of titles there. They have always been top clubs with winning traditions.

For Capello to become respected, let him go and manage  any of these clubs: Energie Cottbus, Getafe, Levante, Reggina, Siena, Aberdeen, Derby County Metz and Toulouse and turn em to global brand ON and OFF the pitch like Fergie did with Man United.
That is when he would command any respect not go to clubs that would win WITH or WITHOUT him.

Go and get yourself educated about Man Utd before Ferguson took charge in 1986. Maybe by then, your clogged mind will APPRECIATE him.
You bird-brained chimp!

@tkb
the sooner he does away with the helmet the better.
If Barca can cough out 30 million pounds then we have a deal

Saw the worst favorites on display yesterday the French and the Italian where horific especially the French and as for their slowpoke of a coach that guy should quit coaching and go work at McDonald's or something serving ribs and milk shakes he made Onigbinde look like Mourinho last night playing Abidal at CB then Ribery gets injured and he brings in Nasri then Abidal gets sent off he takes off Nasri and brings on Boumsong my question is why didnt he start Boumsong why did he take Vieira when he knew he wasnt fit and besides he had a below par season.Italy where average if you ask me their goals where from a penalty and a free kick their attack sucks if you ask me Luca Toni was shyte

Who will stop this Dutch team?RVP was such a sizzla why cant that guy just stay fit for even half a season we would beat Italy again if we where to play tomorrow when you can rest Van Nistelrooy and bring in Huntelaar then you are talking about a complete team the Romania that Italy and France struggled to draw with is the team we dispatched effortlessly

JACKASS

Let me do the skooling for your blank skull a little first

ROma had not won nothin for about 9 years or more when he came in so where was the winning tradition when he came in 1999 and won the scudetto in 2 years. The other coaches before him came there to jog with the players or he's just great??Please answer

What had Madrid won after experimenting with the Luxemborgu's of this world, your very own useless Quieroz,Camacho, and Ramon Caro??From 2003, he came in 2006 and won the league in 2007 sumthin that has set the tone for the likes of Schuster to achieve in.I know this still wont register anything with your brain as u clearly live without one.

Capello won 4 titles in 6 years for MIlan and 3 UCL finals (the most painful to me being the 1-0 loss to Marseille, at least we found out years later that they were all on drugs, but Abedi Pele was fantastic in that game if i recall, the most memorable being the 4-0 thumpin of Barca, Dejan Savicevic i can't forget u for the memories on that 1.) before challenging himself with the Madrid task in his first spell there and do i need to remind u that he won in his first season there too and at Juve too in 2004-2005??

Even before taking over at Milan were they winning scudettos on a regular

Isnt it plain for you to see that your Fergie should have challenged himself with these sort of tasks before he can be considered one of the very best. If it were by no of  domestic titles with one club, coaches like Le Guen,Amodu Shuaibu and Okey Emordi if they had stayed with their winning teams sef would be considered the best in your very short sighted eyes.

Your level of ignorance still knows no bounds. However truth is it doesnt amaze me anymore. Nowadays it fascinates me that sumone could actually live life in a manner that it's littered with stupidity and ignorance that is being flaunted arrogantly without shame on the internet.

May God help us.
