Pastor Bakare condemns the Senate’s resolution to uphold Section 29(4)b of the 1999 Constitution based on Senator Ahmad Yerima’s interpretation of the provision. This provision on renunciation of citizenship is Senator Yerima’s constitutional justification of his marriage to an Egyptian child. While defending the right of the girl child to education and a decent future, Pastor Bakare comes hard on him and the senators who embraced this perverted position.
